We have done a whole bunch of work to this car. All new rubbers around the doors, trunk seal, completely rebuilt the windshield wiper system, fixed the radio, got the front end rebuilt and has a new alignment. Rebuilt the entire shifting linkage, so she shifts smooth as velvet now. Installed the correct T-3 headlights, and a lot of other miscellaneous things to make this car and even better driver. We are now starting to restore the hardtop. This is a nice clean Corvette that you could drive every day. This 1958 Corvette is not a numbers matching car and does have a lot of non-stock parts. The body is pretty much original. This Corvette has a 283 V8 with a Muncie 4 speed transmission. The engine is fresh with all the mechanical work done, including a rebuilt including brakes, steering etc. Engine is nicely detailed with lots of chrome. We have converted this over to a one-wire alternator. The exhaust system is new. The body is original it has never been wrecked or modified. It has fresh paint and lots of new chrome, but there are still some small pieces of trim that should be replaced to really make it nice. New windshield and rubbers, also has re-chromed bumpers. The body and chrome is 100 percent intact. The interior is new, seats, dash, door panels, carpets, etc. with a nice stock dash. We have aftermarket new original style hubcaps and we have put wide whitewall tires on original style wheels. The steering wheel is a custom Grant wheel. We do not have the convertible top assembly, but we do have a hardtop that needs some work. To sum up, this is a good, (not perfect, or show car). This car would make someone a great investment while they drive it everyday. These early Corvettes are hard to find and we have spent quite a bit of money bringing this Corvette to this point. It still needs some detailing, and for the show car enthusiasts you will redo some of this car, but we are satisfied with this Corvette as is, and we would not be afraid to drive it anywhere.
